Volunteer mentors play a critical role in the nurture® program. Mentors provide the front line support for the parents who are enrolled in the program.
Volunteering as a mentor is a great way to give back to the community without having to leave your home. Mentors can fulfill their role from anywhere they have access to a computer or tablet.
If you are looking for a way to give back to the community without making a commitment to report to a physical location for your volunteer work, this could be a great fit for you.
The ideal mentor is YOU! A NurturePA parent mentor is someone who has parenting experience, can commit about an hour a week to building virtual relationships with mothers of newborns, possesses effective communication skills, and has a strong desire to support families during the most critical time of their child’s life – birth to age three.
If you would like to volunteer to serve as a mentor, please start the process by completing the online application. After submitting your application, a NurturePA, Inc. manager will contact you to discuss the next steps.
